Network Security Analyst

About The Role

You will provide technical direction and Implementation in the network design and support function within Business systems. The role focuses on improving network efficiencies and processes, providing reactive support to tier three incident/problem management, vendor and solution management with customer and project management engagement and to formulate responses to Security requirements and incidents.

The Role

  • Working within our networks team accountable and responsible for the support of the network environment. Required to provide input into projects and network development whilst also maintaining a BAU Service.
  • Carry out specific tasks within the network infrastructure
    • Proactive engagement with the project office to ensure timely delivery of components in accordance with project timelines and provide onsite subject matter expertise
    • Day to day task management on the core network
    • Support and enhancement/development of the networks estate
    • Provide root cause analysis for any network related incidents
    • Assist with organizing and maintaining technical documentation ensuring that any network diagrams, special instructions or supporting documentation is updated accordingly
    • Support the business stakeholders throughout the initiated projects as required
    • Communication point for network and voice related incidents
    • Dealing with tier 3 incidents and updating the relevant tickets and queues.
    • Participate in support ‘Rota’ covering 8am to 6pm in three shifts
    • Document technical and process lessons learned and share those lessons with team members to enable continuous improvement, consistency and excellence in quality.
    • Involvement with projects (roughly a 50/50 split)
About You

We are looking for the following experience:

  • Experience of Palo Alto
  • Familiarity with a variety of networking technologies and techniques to accurately troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems associated with the service, application and network infrastructure
  • Proven experience on core technologies
  • Proven track record of tier 3 support
  • Excellent organizational, documentation and communication skills
  • Experience or work and involvement of large IT projects
  • The business critical nature of this role may require an element out of hours working to facilitate project works or network related changes
  • Update internal and or external systems as required
