About The Role
This role is responsible for providing advice and support in relation to HR related business including organisational structures, resourcing, training & development, succession plans, performance management, remuneration & benefits, people policies & practices and employment legislation
 
As a member of the HR leadership team, be a role model of the business culture, lead HR projects and coach other team members
 
Accountabilities:
  • Support the delivery of MO’s strategy, including both the People Strategy and D&I Strategy to meet the business’ short and long term goals and ambitions
  • Advise and support directors and senior leaders to deliver the people agenda including:
  • Review the structure / shape of departments and job design to meet business requirements 
  • Recruit and retaining diverse teams in line with our D&I strategy people.  Ensuring that leaders have the right knowledge and skills and are role models of business culture
  • Work with leaders to develop and implement career frameworks and training & development plans including succession plans
  • Support leaders in driving and maintaining high levels of employee engagement and 
  • Review and providing advice on remuneration including support for the annual salary and bonus process
  • Understand and advising on people policies, practices and processes 
  • Provide ‘employee relations’ support and advice 
  • Provide advice on employment legislation and other regulatory requirements  
  • Support specific recruitment programmes e.g. graduates, apprenticeships, scholarship scheme, work experience  
  • Work with leaders to ensure employees have an effective induction to the company 
  • To act as a coach to leaders  
  • Lead / be involved with business-wide and HR initiatives and projects 
  • Involvement in (through membership or attendance) business governance committees
  • Ensure the HR agenda is delivered in line with the company’s risk and compliance management framework including internal and external audits (e.g. compliance with policies, data and systems’ access and ownership) 
  • Be a key member of the HR leadership team working closely with the director and Head of Function to develop and implement the people strategy for the company including the annual plan for the division.  Contribute to the delivery of HR’s KPIs 
About You
You will have gained the following skills/experience:
  • This role is perfect for an experienced HR Business Partner, who is passionate about HR and providing the best possible service to our business
  • Proven experience in an HR Business Partner role, ideally supporting an IT Division.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and strong generalist HR experience.
  • You can build strong relationships and influence stakeholders all levels.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and proactively contributing ideas, views and recommendations for best practices and process improvement.
  • Experience of working with HR data, and an analytical mindset, to shape and influence people outcomes and business decisions
Minimum Criteria
  • Considerable experience working at a senior level as a HR Business Partner
  • Understanding of business dynamics and strategy
  • Commercial acumen
  • Involvement in cross-functional activities / projects 
  • Broad knowledge of HR including employment legislation
  • Experience of coaching leaders
