About The Role
Part of Motability Operations plc (MO)’s Talent and Engagement team, this role helps ensure MO has the right capability and performance for current and future success, so that all employees have the right knowledge, skills, behaviours and experience to successfully deliver our ambitious business strategy. 

In support of our strategy, this role identifies, develops, delivers, promotes and evaluates innovative and effective L&D solutions for all MO. The specific focus of this role is on learning & development programmes that build key skills just ahead of the strategic requirement for them, in support of high performance and engagement. 
  • Undertake training needs analysis to ensure that the L&D framework is relevant and appropriate for all levels with MO
  • Design, deliver and/or facilitate company-wide and/or team specific learning programmes: from induction to senior leadership development, including management development training
  • Working with key stakeholders, develop career development frameworks within MO which more systematically facilitates job movement and progression within the organisation
  • Work with the business partnering teams to undertake training needs analysis and support on bespoke career development 
  • Establish links with external organisations and funding frameworks that can be leveraged to create more training capacity within MO i.e. Apprentice Levy etc
  • Design, deliver and evaluate the success of employee training content for our online training platform, myLearn  
  • Working with L&D colleagues within divisional teams, market and promote L&D opportunities for MO employees in a joined-up way
  • Evaluate the quality, consistency, impact and application of learning programmes/initiatives. Ensure external providers deliver within their SLAs
  • Regularly interpret, report and advise on all L&D activity, data and insights to assist in driving performance and behaviour change. 
  • With the Talent and Engagement Manager co-manage MO’s learning and development budget and L&D suppliers 
  • Design, deliver and/or facilitate training to support the Performance Review process including Personal Development Plans and Succession Planning
  • Support the Talent and Engagement Manager in ad hoc L&D, Communications & Inclusion activity
About You
You will have gained the following skills/experience:
  • Reports to the Talent & Engagement Manager
  • Works proactively and with a reasonable level of autonomy on L&D projects in line with the business requirement in the areas agreed 
  • Acts autonomously in the planning of time and work load and acts independently when providing counsel to others
  • Manages activity & projects within agreed plan timescales and budgets and in consultation with the Talent and Engagement Manager and wider HR leadership team
  • Works cross-functionally across MO. Identifies and leverages resource across MO and suppliers when assigned projects or initiatives
  • Continually seeks the most efficient, cost-effective and value-driven L&D processes and procedures, systems and tools 
  • Ability to travel between UK sites in London, Bristol and Edinburgh
Minimum Criteria
  • Able to demonstrate clear commercial acumen
  • Strong coaching and facilitation ability
  • Maintaining and sharing knowledge of progressive L&D practices and trends
  • Experience of analysing, designing, outsourcing, delivering and evaluating learning and development initiatives and programmes
  • LMS / Learning Content platform experience
  • Consultative style with the ability to constructively challenge senior business leads
  • Confident communicator and influencer, both verbally and written
  • Robust relationship management and partnering skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience in a consultative learning and development role
