About The Role
Reporting to the Pricing Insight Manager, the Pricing Insight Analyst will join a team playing a key role in Motability Operations’ quarterly pricing rounds. With responsibility for delivering all pricing processes including setting prices on a portfolio of vehicles to ensure MO offers sustainable, affordable pricing across the various leasing schemes we operate. The role includes proactively managing your portfolio of vehicles and providing economic and industry insight to help analyse opportunities to further improve scheme pricing in light of the wider economic and industry context. 

Reporting into the Pricing Insight Manager, key responsibilities include:
  • Offering actionable insight and recommendations to influence Motability Operations Pricing strategy at all levels, delivering a financially sustainable, best-value proposition for customers, vehicle manufacturers and Motability Operations
  • Delivery of all pricing processes including setting prices on a portfolio of vehicles whilst contributing to the upkeep of pricing data in the business
  • Collaborating with the wider business (Manufacturer Relations, Asset Risk etc) to assess commercial viability of proposed pricing and to support negotiation strategies
  • Presenting proposals and rationale to senior stakeholders in regular Pricing Review Meetings
  • Contributing towards the documentation/maintenance of pricing controls and governance 
  • Development/delivery of regular and ad-hoc reporting, using a variety of database and analytical tools (primarily MS Excel and Oracle BI) to develop insight which can support and influence the thinking of the business
  • Supporting the Pricing Insight Manager and the wider business as required
About You
You will have gained the following experience/skills:
  • With a keen eye for detail you will ensure strong commercial insight supports our pricing decisions
  • You will proactively manage your portfolio of vehicles to ensure MO are able to fully optimise customer pricing with an eye on both today and the future direction of the market
  • Working with internal stakeholders you will ensure that MO continues to offer sustainable, affordable pricing across a wider choice of vehicles and continues to meet our KPIs
  • Using your analytical skills, you are able to provide detailed insight into the pricing proposition to help support the key strategic objectives of the department
  • You have a thirst for data and information, seeking out ways to further enhance the way we price our vehicles to improve our efficiency and governance of the process
  • You will be a strong communicator, ensuring insight gained from the wider teams (Asset Risk and Manufacturer Relations) and external contacts (manufacturers and WAV Converters) remain key to supporting your pricing objectives
  • You thrive on taking ownership of issues/challenges and are resourceful in finding solutions and improving the status quo
Minimum Criteria
  • Numerate degree or similar
  • Effective written and oral communication skills 
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines effectively
  • Experience using MS Excel
  • Keen attention to detail
