About The Role
The role will support the Regulatory Risk Manager in providing management with assurance that MO’s company policies and processes are in line with regulatory and ethical standards.  This will include conducting compliance checks to ensure effective mitigation is in place.
The role holder will be expected to perform a range of duties including reviewing company policies and processes to ensure they meet required regulatory and ethical standards, that they are risk based and in line with MO’s corporate risk appetites.  
Other duties will include identifying risks to MO arising from regulatory non-compliance or ethical scrutiny and helping to promote regulatory awareness within the business and build a robust compliance culture.
About You
This role is most suited to someone with regulatory and corporate compliance experience.  The successful candidate will:
  • Conduct regular compliance checks and prepare reports to management.
  • Identify and escalate significant regulatory issues in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Ensure Regulatory Risk is managed in line with the business risk appetite and policy.
  • Have knowledge of the latest compliance related procedures and regulations.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business, providing review and challenge to new and existing developments.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and provide robust regulatory advice, guidance and support.
  • Support and evolve the risk management system, ensuring controls are properly documented and mapped to applicable rules and regulations  
Minimum Criteria
  • Relevant compliance qualification or training (or qualified by experience).
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of risk management in a regulated business.
  • Experience in a regulated environment or experience gained in compliance monitoring or advisory, although not essential.
  • An analytical mindset with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of working closely with key stakeholders 
  • Pragmatic, strategic thinker & effective influencer.
