About The Role
Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner Analyst to join our Finance team in Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Business Partner or Finance Business Partnering Manager, you will assist in the reporting, insight, analysis, control, budgeting and forecasting processes of the overhead and customer support costs in your area
  • Carry out month end processes within your area including the preparation of accruals and prepayments
  • Own the GL’s and cost centres within your area, reviewing monthly to ensure accuracy and understanding on MTD/YTD movements and sharing this with the Finance Business Partners where applicable
  • Prepare monthly reporting for your area including variance analysis, commentary, HOF and KPI packs
  • Provide support of headcount reporting and analysis, working with the business to understand variances, historical and future trends
  • Prepare the capex matrix and maintain capex policy for projects within your area
  • Own all processes within your remit, ensuring they are accurate and timely
  • Support in the preparation of business cases for key projects
  • Deputise and support for the Finance Business Partners including meeting attendance with key stakeholders
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation
  • Play a key role in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and reforecasts
About You
  • You will be a self-starter and can prioritise tasks effectively
  • You are comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels within the business
  • You can remain calm under pressure
  • You can effectively explain accounting principles to non-finance colleagues
  • You will need to be focused on timing and accuracy to deliver excellent service for your stakeholders.
  • You have experience of working to multiple deadlines
  • Preferably you’ll have experience using Oracle Hyperion, OBIEE or other relevant Finance systems
Minimum criteria:
  • Recent, demonstrable experience gained within an accountancy role
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of key accounting principles (debits/credits/accruals/prepayments)
  • Relevant exposure to varying levels of business stakeholders
  • Studying for an accountancy qualification (ACCA,CIMA etc)
