About The Role
The ITAM Analyst role sits within the IT Procurement Team, which is part of Business Systems (IT) and works closely with Supplier Owners to maximise opportunities and deliver value through 3rd party relationships & contracts. 

Reporting into the ITAM Specialist, the IT Asset Management Analyst(s) should be passionate and enthusiastic about all things hardware, software, and licensing. The ITAM industry has a broad range of skills and specialisms within it, and we welcome applications from all areas of ITAM for this role, so whether you are an Oracle licensing specialist, have managed hardware assets only, been in a Procurement role that has focused on software or have seen more of the governance and audit side, we invite you to apply for this role if you are interested in growing and broadening your current skills and ITAM career as part of a dynamic and supportive team. Working closely with teams within Business systems you will have responsibility for;
  • Managing, maintaining and auditing the Asset Management Database (AMDB) for Hardware Assets and the Definitive Software Library (DSL) for Software Assets
  • Support and strengthen ITAM processes, controls, and policies as we mature ITAM
  • Manage the lifecycle of Hardware and Software Assets ensuring that reviews are scheduled in advance of End of Life (EoL), expiry or renewal so that proactive action can be taken on refreshes, renewals, changes, or terminations
  • Carrying out administration, changes in software portals (Adobe, Microsoft, etc) and the AMDB
  • Maintain the Procurement Contracts database (Scanmarket) to ensure MO captures all Hardware and Software related contracts and legal documentation
  • Work with the Legal team and ITAM Specialist to ensure appropriate contractual documents are produced and stored to improve overall compliance and proactive renewals
About You
You will have gained the following experience/skills:
  • You will be passionate and enthusiastic about IT Asset Management with a keen interest in market trends, vendor updates and a desire to develop your skills and knowledge in this field and wider IT Procurement practices
  • Your personal credibility and willingness to understand commercial and operational requirements enables you to present ideas with authority and conviction
  • You build strong and enduring relationships and can influence at all levels in the organisation
  • You are an excellent organiser with sound time management skills
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills
Desirable Criteria
  • IT Asset Management lifecycle knowledge and understanding with motivation to develop further skills
  • Knowledge of Hardware and software vendors and how they operate, such as Microsoft, Oracle, HP, Palo Alto, Cisco etc. 
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software Support Contracts
  • Stakeholder management skills, up to and including senior management level
  • Data analysis skills
  • MS Excel skills
  • Commercial Background including IT contracts knowledge & experience
  • Knowledge of IT Procurement practices
  • Working experience of a Contracts Management system
  • Knowledge/working experience with a service desk tool (preferably Jira)
  • Knowledge of Service Management practices
