About The Role
Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Consumer Insights Analyst to join our Marketing department in Edinburgh on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Consumer Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for producing analysis to truly understand our target customer base, what they want from the Motability Scheme, and influence the business strategy to maximise customer acquisition, satisfaction, and value.

Reporting to the Consumer Insights Manager, you will be responsible for segmenting our target customers into key groups, development and maintenance of regular and ad-hoc reporting, and management of customer data. Motability Operations hold key data about our customers and vehicles, but you will also use third party data (including Experian), government data, and insights uncovered by our in-house Research team, to paint a clear picture of how we can best serve our customers.

You should be confident working with internal and external stakeholders to maximise the value and impact of your analysis. As part of the Consumer Insights team, you’ll be working alongside a Research team and Data Science team, giving you access to a wide range of experience and expertise to make the most of this exciting new role.

About You
  • You should have experience in a similar analytical role, ideally in a consumer-focussed organisation
  • You should keep the customer at the heart of your analysis, but be commercially-minded to produce robust insights to support business cases
  • You are confident to act as an expert in your field, add value during meetings, and challenge the status quo as appropriate
  • Strong technical skills (including SQL) are essential, and you should have experience producing clear, creative visualisations to bring your analysis to life. Python experience is beneficial but not essential
  • You are a logical thinker, able to explain your analyses to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with consumer segmentation, ideally using Experian Mosaic or a similar tool
Minimum criteria:
  • Proven experience in a similar analytical role with a focus on customers
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools – OBIEE/OAS and Snowflake experience are desirable
  • SQL proficiency essential
  • Python experience desirable
