About The Role
Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Dealer Partner Manager to join our Dealer Partner Team based remotely in the South East of England. As a passionate advocate of our customers, you will work to create strategic and influential relationships that drive engagement with the commercial opportunity of the Motability channel with the largest 200 dealer groups.
 
You will leverage that engagement to influence;
  • Customer experience – drive the evolution of our dealer or agent partners online presence and showroom experience to support the empowerment of customers in qualifying the lease, choosing the right vehicles, managing their application, maintaining their product – all in an omni-channel environment.
  • Dealer marketing – proactively work with dealer group marketing teams to amplify and leverage our awareness objectives. Actively engage dealers with our dealer marketing portal and our ‘Find a Dealer’ tool to attract customers to their business.
  • An understanding of the commercial value – promoting the opportunities of the Motability channel with senior leaders and investors therefore influencing dealer group strategy to secure preferential investment and MO inclusive dealer strategies.
  • Dealer performance– proactively manage dealer performance through the Motability Dealer Partnership programme. Manage compliance and resolve escalated poor customer service issues. Use the insight provided by reviews to identify role models and poor performers.
  • Digital – promote the benefits of our digital services and transition senior contacts to self-serve via OLA, DRC etc to track and improve dealer group performance.

You will have the opportunity to proactively manage key senior contacts and relationships across a broad range of dealer group functions.  Identifying opportunities or gaps to improve dealer group engagement of the Motability channel through a collaborative approach.  Working with key contacts you will jointly create and action group plans to drive improvement and opportunities.

As Dealer Partner Manager, you will engage with the rapidly evolving strategy of the business as we pursue increased ownership of our customer journey through the Customer Account & Digital Experience Platform. You will then be able to work collaboratively with senior dealer contacts and internal teams to shape and influence future deliveries that will support the evolution of the automotive industry, dealer group operating model and Scheme proposition.

This is an exciting moment to join our Dealer Partner Team, they are a highly focused & externally facing team with a comprehensive understanding of the strategic agenda within Motability Operations and its long-term impacts.

Recognising that we are moving towards increasing our direct interaction with customers over a traditionally dealer mediated scheme, the team continually seek new knowledge and insight into how digital retail will disrupt dealer engagement or their ownership of scheme delivery. They seek to mitigate that disruption by exploring opportunity for dealer innovation & by highlighting the commercial opportunity of excellent performance.

The team are an incredibly supportive yet positively challenging group. You’ll work with like-minded relationship managers who are deeply engaged and passionate about both the Motability scheme, its customers, transformation of personal mobility and the motor trade.

The team cope well with a rapid pace of change, quickly working to adapt their methods to new circumstances.

Vehicle technology is a rapidly moving picture, and we recognise the infrastructure and SMR challenges BEVs present to our dealers. We’re ready to push the dealer network to help drive BEV adoption when its right for our customers.

About You
  • You’re dynamic and able to influence and support discussions at a senior level and drive change for the benefit of the Scheme and our customers
  • You have experience of delivering valuable and engaging meetings both digitally and face to face
  • You communicate clearly and employ strong listening skills to understand the motivations of our partners
  • You’re able to clearly communicate the future direction of the motor trade and the impact on the Scheme and Motability Dealer Partnership programme
  • You’re resilient and able to respond quickly and effectively when dealing with challenges
  • You’re innovative and forward thinking in developing strategic plans that achieve engagement and add value to the dealer and Scheme
  • You’re open to and embrace change, understanding the need to respond quickly to both external and internal changes
  • You’re able to adapt to your audience i.e. customer champion with dealers and a dealer representative internally to drive improvements that add value to the dealer, customer and Scheme.
  • You’re capable of presenting complex concepts to external audiences
  • You understand how digital services are impacting the delivery of the Motability Scheme and you’re able to explain clearly the benefits and the opportunities to our dealer partners
Minimum criteria:
  • Strong and demonstrable motor trade understanding
  • Experience of the Motability channel and an excellent understanding of the commercial opportunities it creates
  • Experience of B2B account management
  • Experience of working with marketing teams to create promotional plans and campaigns
  • An excellent understanding of digital retail and the impact to the customer experience
  • A good understanding of OEM strategy and vehicle technology
