About The Role
Reporting to Business Analyst Team Lead, but with direct daily oversight from Scrum Master and Project Manager, this role provides business analysis capability within a dedicated Programme team.

You will be working within the Insurance programme as Motability Operations transition from one Insurance provider to another. This role is based around the integrations between the Insurance domain and the other MO systems which it needs to interact with along with the 3rd party Insurance provider. This will involve working with the business and other areas within the Insurance team to understand their requirements also to work out how that would work from an integrations perspective so that data can be moved between systems.

Collaborating closely with the developers, testers and third party suppliers, the analyst will be responsible for partnering the business to understand and document its business requirements.

Key accountabilities

As a Business Analyst on this team, you will:
  • Partner/assist the Product Owners/Project Manager to ensure;
    o user stories and requirements are captured, clearly documented, and have the correct level of detail required to facilitate backlog prioritisation 
    o user stories are refined and ready for planning sessions
    o accurate acceptance criteria is captured within user stories to ensure they can be built and tested efficiently
  • Positively contribute to all team ceremonies (e.g. stand ups, retrospectives etc)
  • Nurture and maintain relationships with multiple business stakeholders
  • Ensure impacted business stakeholders are kept up to date with developments
  • Coordinate & facilitate requirement gathering workshops as required 
  • Facilitate review sessions with business stakeholders
  • Support the business stakeholders throughout the change process as required
  • Act as a bridge between development teams and business users
About You
We would expect you to want to understand how changes and solutions impact stakeholder operations, resourcing and processes. You should enjoy working with technology, data and systems.

We would like a self-starter with initiative, enthusiasm and ambition and a strong interest in developing their skill set. You should be able to work closely with other members of the Business Analysis team to understand skills and techniques currently in use to ensure reuse and continuous improvement 
Minimum Criteria
  • BA experience
  • Outstanding stakeholder management
  • Able to work with Solution Architects and Dev Leads to discuss the solution and define requirements off the back of that
  • Sufficient knowledge around how API’s work to integrate with other systems including third parties
  • Understand the end-to-end flow of receiving a message and making further enrichments to build up a full payload
  • Able to query SQL databases so that data can be provided for examples
  • Strong communication skills (written & oral) and analytical capabilities
  • Can write good, clear user stories that can be passed on to a developer to work through
  • Can define suitable Acceptance Criteria which QE’s can test against to sign off stories
  • The ability to develop domain knowledge quickly
  • Confident and self-starter 
  • Good PC literacy particularly Word & Excel
