About The Role

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this is a stand-alone position that will be responsible for developing vendor risk management processes and frameworks to support stakeholders who work with suppliers. 

Critical to this role is gaining a good understanding of our material and critical suppliers that support our business.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide independent oversight and challenge during the supplier due diligence during supplier onboarding process.
  • Leading on the in-life monitoring of suppliers for potential risk.
  • Proactively informing Supplier Owners, Procurement Business Partners, Business Risk, IT Security, Legal, Technology and other teams.
  • Advising on potential vendor risk management strategies to minimise impact.
  • Develop and evolve Vendor Risk Management framework and contribute to other procurement aspects e.g. Vendor management framework.
  • Leading on company policy development specifically in areas of vendor risk management.
  • Deliver high quality risk reports, with guidance and recommendations, to enable senior business owners to make the most appropriate risk decisions
  • Reviewing current tools and technology and assessing investment opportunities to support vendor risk management practices.
  • Close collaboration with Innovation team to create a risk adjusted approach to innovation to balance risk and speed appropriately.
  • Close collaboration with Procurement team members to support minimising/mitigating supplier and contractual risk.
  • Possible procurement activities from time to time. 

About You

  • Self-starter, with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Enjoys working within a matrix management environment.
  • Relevant industry qualification or working towards this e.g. CTPRA, CIPS, other.
  • Passionate about subject area and keen to take a lead in this area. 
Minimum Criteria:
  • Knowledge of typical supplier due diligence processes.
  • Good understanding of Third-Party Risk Management practices and strategies.
  • Experience in using a TPRM tool or supplier subscriptions to support vendor risk management (e.g. D&B, Experian, EcoVadis, OneTrust etc.).
