About The Role
To provide project support within Infrastructure Team, contributing to the design & delivery of solutions for the Sustainability group of projects. Ensure that the IT environment meets both current and future availability and capacity needs of the business. Based in London this role reports to the Infrastructure Support Team Lead working within the Business Systems division.

The Role
  • Provide day to day support for the IT infrastructure
  • Proactive support and management of the company’s server and shared storage platform
  • Development, improvement and adherence to processes and standards
  • Contribute to the progression of the Infrastructure strategy & roadmap
  • Incident management taking ownership for technical issues
  • Problem resolution and root cause analysis
  • Availability and capacity management
  • Infrastructure monitoring and reporting
About You
About you

We are looking for the following experience:
 
Mandatory
  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (2008, 2012, 2016), Windows Clustering (MSCS), Active Directory
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience delivering infrastructure projects, in particular Windows Server O/S uplifts, AD FFL and version increases
  • Experience within a highly virtualised environments
  • Virtualisation using VMware ESX (including VMotion, HA, DRS)
  • Server technologies and hardware (primarily HP) and blade technology (HP C class)

Desirable

  • Knowledge of networks – VLANs, firewalls, VPN, TCP/IP, Etherchannel, LACP
  • Good appreciation of the infrastructure stack (networks, databases, applications, web, email, desktops, etc.)
  • MCSE / MCITP
  • iSCSI and NFS, data replication, SMVI and snapshot technologies
  • Scripting skillset – Perl, Python, Powershell, Ruby etc.
