About The Role
We are looking for a passionate, motivated and focussed individual to join a team of highly technical network engineers. You will play a key role in the development of our cloud delivered SASE network architecture and continual improvement of secure connectivity solutions spanning our hybrid environment.

This role, reporting to the Service Delivery Lead for Network Engineering, requires working closely with customers, project, support and engineering groups to ensure our connectivity solutions support business needs as well as fulfilling core network and security requirements.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Contribute to the network and infrastructure strategy & sustainability roadmap
  • Contribute to team task planning, and delivery e.g. daily stand-up meetings, reviews, sprint planning, retrospectives
  • Proactive engagement with the project office to ensure timely delivery of components in accordance with project timelines
  • Ensure that new solutions are designed and built adhering to vendor and industry best practice recommendations
  • Where required assist with root cause analysis for any network related incidents
  • Partake in knowledge sharing across the network engineering and operations and wider infrastructure teams
  • Assist with organising and maintaining technical documentation ensuring that any network diagrams, special instructions or supporting documentation is updated accordingly
  • Participate in out of hours planned changes and escalation call rota
  • Escalation Management for 3rd party Vendors / Suppliers
About You

  • You are keen to embrace and uphold a culture of collaboration & communication
Minimum criteria:
  • Core network skills (TCP/IP, DNS, Packet Capture, Routing protocols; BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Working knowledge of AWS Networking services i.e. VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, WAF, NACL, SG, etc.
  • AWS and/or Palo Alto / CISCO Certified
  • Familiar with firewall policy management using Palo Alto, Panorama, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud
  • Exposure towards cloud strategy, architecture & best practices
  • Understanding of Zero-Trust Security model
  • Understanding network concepts between on-premise vs hybrid vs cloud model
  • Understanding of automation and software defined networking
  • Experience of managing multiple 3rd party vendors, managed service providers and working effectively with 3rd parties
  • Exposure towards cloud security, identity, & compliance services
  • Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management.
  • Experience working with scalable networking technologies e.g. Load Balancers
  • Experience in the identification, assessment and management of risks
  • Working with agile development methodologies
