About The Role

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and focussed individual to join a team of highly technical network engineers. You will play a key role in the support, sustainability and continual improvement of secure connectivity solutions spanning our hybrid environment.

This role, reporting to the Service Delivery Lead for Network Operations, requires working closely with customers, project, support and engineering groups, providing reactive support to tier three Incident/problem management ensuring our connectivity solutions support business needs as well as fulfilling core network and security requirements.

About You

You will have gained the following minimum criteria:

You will be enthusiastic and able to effectively manage your work with determination to deliver high quality outcomes
You are interested in and keep abreast of the latest connectivity solutions
You will have demonstrable experience of adhering to strict change management, audit and compliance policies following agreed operational processes and controls
You will have the ability to demonstrate pragmatism & resilience in the face of shifting priorities, demands and timelines
You will be someone who can demonstrate logical planning and organising skills
You are keen to embrace and uphold a culture of collaboration, communication and automation

Minimum criteria:

Proven experience in supporting on-premise & cloud-based connectivity services
Exposure towards cloud security, identity, & compliance services
Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management
Experience working with scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers/Firewalls and web standards
Exposure towards cloud strategy, architecture & best practices
Understanding network concepts between on-premise vs hybrid vs cloud model
Experience of managing multiple 3rd party vendors, managed service providers and working effectively with 3rd parties
Experience in the identification, assessment and management of risks
AWS and/or CISCO Certified
Proficient knowledge of AWS Networking services i.e. VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, WAF, NACL, SG etc.
Exposure towards Network Infrastructure Management (Palo Alto, Panorama, Tufin or similar)
Core network skills (TCP/IP, Packet Capture, Dynamic Routing – BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
Experience of Cisco ISE, Cisco Meraki, Checkpoint firewall, F5 load balancer
