About The Role
6-12 Months Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to the Vehicle Remarketing (VRM) Digital Development Manager, this role will support the development and implementation of our digital road map by building new solutions and supporting existing systems.

You will collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to plan and deliver a range of digital products, including application developments and marketing communications. This will include communicating and co-ordinating reviews and sign-off milestones with stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are engaged with the project journey.

You will work closely with the Digital Development Manager and external development partners to manage the production of well-designed and implemented technical solutions to business problems across VRM, ensuring the team and wider stakeholders are engaged throughout the project lifecycle from inception to testing and deployment.

You will ensure that projects have a clear and understandable scope, documented and communicated appropriately, and identify and manage any changes to timelines, budget, scale or quality and communicate these effectively. Working with our IT Security and Risk departments, you will assess, communicate and mitigate project risks as part of project delivery, and escalate appropriately when required.

You will be willing to help support other VRM system related issues and work with our IT team and our digital partners when problems arise.

While usually based in our Bristol offices, the team are currently working remotely. 
About You
This role is perfect for a collaborative, pragmatic and commercially focused project manager, who is comfortable working with stakeholders with both technical and non-technical backgrounds. You should be an effective communicator, who is able to translate and communicate technical solutions in a way that is understandable by all involved in projects. 

This is a small closely-knit team, so you must be self-reliant and able to independently lead projects to deliver value and identify and implement process improvements with your colleagues across the division. We’re looking for someone who’ll take an interest in what we deliver, not just how we deliver it.

You will be driven to continuously improve your own skills, be interested in a range of project management methodologies and relish looking for appropriate opportunities to implement them, ensuring that you are able to communicate the value to the team. 

You will have worked with technical teams before, understand the basics of front-end and back-end technologies and good digital development practices including testing and deployment processes. 

You will be comfortable working on a variety of small projects focusing on business processes and improvements. You may be working on different projects throughout each day, so you must be comfortable with context-switching.
Minimum criteria:
  • Experience in project management/delivery management
  • Experience working with technical/software development teams
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, including stakeholder management and experience planning and facilitating meetings and workshops.
  • Experience with Project Management SAAS tools (e.g. Confluence, Trello, Jira, Basecamp)
  • Experience with Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and/or waterfall (e.g. PRINCE2) methodologies.
  • Experience managing project budgets
Desirable criteria:
  • Experience with user-centred design practices and processes
  • Experience of accessibility principles (e.g. WCAG)
  • Experience of web-security principles and standards (e.g. OWASP)
    Experience with Azure, Google Analytics, Umbraco CMS, BI tools, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
