About The Role
6 months contract, Inside IR35
We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management individual to manage and maintain the Motability Operations (MO) IT Asset Registers (Hardware and Software) and act as the single point of contact for Asset Management queries. MO currently doesn’t utilise any HAM/SAM tools and relies on the outputs of some ITSM discovery tools and the regular update of manual registers. This role will help maintain the current ITAM work that has been done whilst we define what MO needs from ITAM in the future. 

Primary Stakeholders:
  • Infrastructure Team
  • Networks Team
  • IT Service Centre
  • Secondary Stakeholders include Applications Team, Cloud Platform Team, Security etc.
About You
You will have the gained the following skills/experience:
  • Be a subject matter expert in ITAM and introduce best practice.
  • Ensure that all purchases following the required governance steps.
  • Manage assets throughout their lifecycle as per the ITAM cycle.
  • Work closely with IT Procurement to provide the intelligence to make sound procurement decisions, especially at software renewal stage to avoid unnecessary purchases.
  • Contribution to MO’s ITAM strategy and maturity assessment to ensure business needs are future proofed and in line with best practice.
Minimum Criteria
  • Commercial Background including IT contracts knowledge & experience
  • Knowledge of IT Asset management
  • Knowledge of software licences and support contracts
  • Experience of software audits and licence reviews
  • Proven track record of stakeholder management skills, up to and including senior management level
  • Strong data analysis
  • Strong MS Excel skills
Desirable Criteria
  • Relevant ITAM qualifications (e.g. IAITAM, BCS)
  • Any experience working with major OEMs including HP, Microsoft, Oracle, VMWare, Adobe, NetApp, RedHat, Palo Alto or Cisco
